"I really like this disc. I definitely play it out when I DJ downtempo or ambient sets. The first track is really nice in a loop [...] and I really love track 2 (the first song.) I remember hearing it at Saturnalia: it put me in a good space. [...] The second [track] is a nice spacey song. The kind I could listen to and my eyes just kind of glaze over. Everything sounds slowed down and affects me that way, slows me down... [...] The final song - another great track. It just rides along in the background as I do my work. 1. The Mystifying Oracle: The Ceremony (MP3 sample)
A drone and drumming track built around live recordings made of an 'eid ceremony in Morocco. Packaged with the older Mystifying Oracle Ouija box cover and as a wooden Mystifying Oracle Talking Board circa 1920.

2. Austere: Coruscate (MP3 sample)
A repeated, shimmering loop presented with a surrounding fog of chordal reverberation which throughout the course of the piece comes to overwhelm the sparkling looped tones with a glistening halo of sound. Packaged as Copp Clark board from Canada, most likely from the 1920's or '30's.

3. Future Guru: Funeral for Bucky (MP3 sample)
A haunted dancehall tune meets Victorian vaudeville, featuring a cranky old music hall organ with an accompaniment of distorted pseudo-melody. All in the name of science! Packaged as a Mystery Talking Board from the 1940's with the Man with the X-Ray Eyes lurking within!

4. In The Now: ethervoices (MP3 sample)
Glitchy goodness with angular time signatures from Brighton, England's finest musician, with a pastiche of voices from the beyond to carry you to the other side. Packaged as a Hasko Mystic Tray Talking Board circa the late 1940's.

5. The Nether-Carols: Les Pons Du Waffles (MP3 sample)
Beyond the glitch or glitch from the beyond? "Mu-sick" that's impossible to catagorize channel transmissions from the otherworld, beyond genrefication. Packaged as an American Novelty Co. Color Oujia Queen board, with a lovely Crystal Ball Gazer on the box, and a tribute to Norman Rockwell on the inside.

6. Broken Gadget: Ossip (MP3 sample)
A prepared piano piece that cannot resist comparisons to John Cage's seminal works, but other than in concept, have little in common. Interesting tonalities and haunting timbres are found on this pocket-sized Ouia (sic) board from the 1950's, decorated with a box from a postcard-style Ouija board of the same era.

7. The Mystery School Ensemble: The Art of Life (MP3 sample)
Future Jazz from London, England's cutting-edge & ground-breaking electro/ jazz collective. Some of the grooviest, space jazz splattered with comments from Aldous Huxley transmitted from beyond the grave. Packaged as a Haskelite Egyptian Mystic Board from the 1940's, by far one of the most beautiful Talking Boards ever made.

8. Numina: Never Realized (MP3 sample)
Hailing from Denver, Colorado, this artist's last full-length CD make the top three on every Ambient Top Ten list in 2004. A gentle, peaceful yet somewhat dark piece culled from ths spirits who have gone beyond, is it truly proof of an Existence to an End? A dark and ominous Canadian Copp Clark board offers answers in English and French as does the swami on the cover.

9. Abstract Audio Systems: Dark Fortune (MP3 sample)
A chill in the air. The rain falls in a sinister whisper. The boardwalk seems deserted, yet a cold light shines from within the gypsy's ragged tent. A sense of foreboding... Are you brave enough to step inside and face your own 'Dark Fortune'? Comes wrapped as a Rajah talking board circa the 1950's.

10. Joe+N: Still Can't Spell Wee-Jee (MP3 sample)
An experimental "accidental" guitar creation bringing sounds from the Other World into ours for your enjoyment. An antique polished wooden box and board from 1891 make up this set.

11. Anomalous Disturbances: Portent (MP3 sample)
A wonderful guitar-only ambient track by this ultra-brilliant musician from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Could the effects of Vancouver's finest local delicacy be any easier to obtain? This release features the powers of Zoltan, the automated Fortune Teller who will predict your future for the mere cost of a single coin, based on popular carnival and roadside attractions from the 1930's and '40's.

12. Falling You: Still Life (MP3 sample)
A wonderful, moody piece by multi-talented musician John Michael Zorko and vocals by Jennifer McPeak. Comes packaged as a Midas Golden Touch box & board for all your finacial foretelling needs, circa the 1970's.

13. M. Griffin: Enclosed In Open Spaces (MP3 sample)
A moving, whispering piece of pure beauty mixed with just a hint of loneliness closes out the series... Packaged as a vintage Drueke Soothsayer board from the 1940's.
